2022 Reading Retrospective

I take a look back at the totality on my reading for the year and think about reading goals for the next year.

I like to set reading goals and track my reading progress on Goodreads. It is an excellent tool for increasing reading volume, improving retention of knowledge, and learning more about the discourse on literary, scholarly, and popular works. It isn’t a perfect tool, but I’ve found it quite useful. To some extent, Goodreads doubles as a social networking app for bibliophiles. It has one of the more civil and serious communities. I’ve had plenty of interesting exchanges with those I agree and disagree with regarding books and ideas.

In this year’s reading retrospective, I hope to take a comprehensive and critical look at my reading experiences over the year. I hope that readers will find this useful and interesting despite it being a solipsistic exercise. At the very least, it can be used to build one’s own to-be-read (TBR) list.
