2021 Reading Retrospective
Recapping this year in books. Examining my literary diet.
I think for many 2021 was a whirlwind. It seemed at best six-months long. 2022 is proceeding rapidly as well, seeing as I’m only getting to this by the end of February. Despite the sense of time compression and a typical full-slate of activities and obligations, I was able to invest significantly in reading. It is an exercise I ostensibly value deeply even if it can be discursive and not productive in an economic sense.
Despite my inability to avoid dilettantism, I at least aspire to meticulously record my reading and ensure it is a rewarding effort. Subsequently, I am a superuser of the Goodreads application and website. It is an excellent tool which allows me to track my reading, post reviews, and comments on the reviews of other users. I encourage other to make use of it!
